PantryPal does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, address, phone number, or email.

PantryPal may store the following locally on your device only:

  • Ingredients you type or scan

  • Saved recipes or drinks

  • Notes, tags, and favorite items

This information remains on your device unless you choose to delete it.

📷 Camera Permissions

PantryPal requests access to the device camera only to scan food labels and ingredient text.

  • Camera use is optional

  • Images are not stored

  • Images are not uploaded

  • Images are only processed to extract text

If you do not use scan mode, PantryPal will not use the camera.

🌐 Internet Usage

To generate recipes or drink suggestions, PantryPal securely sends ingredient text only to our servers and/or AI processing providers.

We do not send personal identifying information.

Ingredient text is used solely to generate:

  • Recipes

  • Drink suggestions

  • Food-related recommendations

💾 Local Storage

PantryPal may store:

  • Saved recipes

  • Favorite items

  • Scanned notes

  • Ingredient history

This information is stored only on your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the app.

🔄 Third-Party Services

PantryPal may use third-party AI services to generate recipe ideas. These services receive only ingredient text, not personal identity.

We do not:

  • Sell user data

  • Track users

  • Share personal information

PantryPal is not intended for children under 13.
